Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, 26 year old singer/songwriter Chris Sharpe has spent the last decade developing his unique pop/jazz sound in the fertile training grounds of the Emerald City’s contemporary music scene. Playing to packed coffee houses, college campuses and the eclectic local club circuit, Sharpe’s gained a dedicated fan-base. Joined by his wife Aleah, you can see them play at various venues across the Northwest.

Sharpe’s first album, Every Moment, was released in 2007 featuring 10 songs with both acoustic and full band performances. For many outside the Northwest music scene, the album was their first chance to discover Sharpe’s signature smooth vocals, great harmonies, catchy melodies, and overall cool sound that has made Sharpe an up and coming musician in the Seattle music scene. With comparisons to John Mayer, Jason Mraz, and Jack Johnson, Sharpe seems to be carving out a unique vocal and song-writing style that promises more surprises in the future with his continued experiments in blending catchy pop ballads with acoustic side-bars and smooth blues harmonies.

Following the release of Every Moment in 2007, Chris Sharpe won the Generator Stage Competition, voted by both the fans and judges as their choice of young artists to play at the Creation Music Festival, the nation’s largest Christian Music Festival, at the Gorge Amphitheatre. Among other bands, Sharpe has opened for MXPX, Eric Hutchinson and Brandon Heath. 2010 promises to be another full year for the singer/songwriter as he’s playing a full circuit of concerts and continuing to write songs for his next album. Chris and his wife Aleah are available for hire at private events across the Northwest.

Every Moment featured Aleah Sharpe, who joined him on vocals, creating a beautiful set of harmonies. The album also featured Jared MacFarlane on bass, James Rempt on lead guitar, Adam Persons on drums, Brian Eichelberger on violin and rhodes, and Seth Ogelsby percussion.
